Brief: Adapt industrial land, area intended to become a cultural and creative quarter, and inform future uses and find community. Demonstrate sustainable uses; repurposing land and urban growing.
Project: A pioneering urban garden established on a ½ acre former gas filling station, by the Grand Union canal. Invited people to grow their own food, with arts and education programme.
Run as a Social Enterprise.
Closed when Canals and River Trust sold the land.
